MACGP was founded in February of 2000 in Philadelphia, PA by Former President Tim Chin (Chinny) and Former
Vice President Andrew Stevenson. MACGP is based out of the Philadelphia Area and serves members from the
Mid-Atlantic States such as Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, and New Jersey. We are a diverse group
and we always welcome new members! You do not need to drive a Grand Prix to become a part of MACGP. We
also welcome owners or other GM W-Body Platforms such as the Chevy Impala, Monte Carlo, Buick Regal, and
Pontiac Bonneville! We also have several owners who have continued to support and attend events after
moving on from owning a GM W-Body vehicle and we strongly encourage those members to continue to showing
up to events and be a part of this great chapter!
We hold and participate in a variety of events. We compete in several car shows, hold race events at
local drag strips (Cecil County Raceway in Rising Sun, MD, Atco Raceway in Atco, NJ, and Raceway
Park in Englishtown, NJ), club dinners, outings, etc. Our most popular events are our MACGP Mod Days!
Many of our members have and continue to modify their cars for looks, performance and style. Our Mod Days
offer the opportunity to work on your cars with other members and also get help for newer members who wish
to learn about the capabilities of their cars. We also have joint meets with other clubs in the surrounding
areas such as Jersey Shore Club Grand Prix, Central PA Club Grand Prix, Washington DC Club Grand Prix, and New
York Metro Club Grand Prix, just to name a few.
Today, MACGP is still running strong and is still actively gaining new members. Matt Pardoe is our new
President. He was appointed by Tim Chin in the summer of 2007. Matt Sunner is our Vice President. We always
welcome new members and members from other clubs to all of MACGP’s functions. Don’t hesitate to come out to
one of our events!
